Karim Wazani: Director of Partnerships, Amazon Music
Karim Wazani is a highly experienced executive with a proven track record of success in the retail, brand, and media industries. He currently serves as Director of Partnerships at Amazon Music, and previously served as GM of the Zappos business (a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon,) where he helped build and maintain relationships with partners including the NBA, NFL, UFC and Nike. Prior to his time at Amazon Music and Zappos, Karim served in executive roles for popular retail brands and footwear retailers including Shoe Palace and Converse, sneaker boutique Concepts, as well as Rookie USA, a kids-only premium Nike retail concept.
Karim is the founder and creator of Zen, a digital platform dedicated to sneaker culture, and executive produced the Zen Sneaker Radio Show with iHeart Media as well as the Sole Origins show with Complex Media for two years. Throughout his 20 year career-span across the retail and brand industries, Karim is responsible for heading up strategic partnerships including ComplexCon and famed artist Takashi Murakami and has designed footwear for top brands including Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Vans.
